Sadie Elizabeth Sink is an American actress and model famous for her portrayal of Max Mayfield in Netflix’s Stranger Things.
She was born on April 16, 2002, in Brenham, Texas.
Her first professional acting roles were in plays at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts in Houston in 2011. She performed in musical productions of Irving Berlin’s White Christmas and in the starring role in Annie.
She made her Broadway debut in the fifth grade as part of the original cast of the Annie revival. While still starring in the play, she appeared in the Emmy-winning series The Americans as Lana.
In 2015, she co-starred with Helen Mirren in The Audience on Broadway, as young Elizabeth II. She also had a small role in Chuck as Kimberly.
Furthermore, in 2017, Sink began playing Maxine “Max” Mayfield, in the Netflix series Stranger Things.
In 2018, Sink collaborated with Rooney Mara, Sia, Joaquin Phoenix, and Kat von D to narrate Chris Delforce’s animal rights documentary, “Dominion”. Consequently, she was given the 2018 Award of Excellence for Narration by Hollywood International Independent Documentary Awards.
In 2021, Sink played the main role of Christine ‘Ziggy’ Berman in The Fear Street Trilogy. She appeared in the second and third instalments of the series, “Fear Street Part Two: 1978” and “Fear Street Part Three: 1666.”
In November 2021, she played the lead in Taylor Swift’s short film, “All Too Well: The Short Film” with Dylan O’Brien.
Sink took to the catwalk for the first time in 2018 at Paris Fashion Week. Although generally the youngest age to participate as a model is 16, Sink was 15. She has modelled for many brands including Kate Spade, Vogue, L’Officiel Paris, Chanel and Givenchy Beauty.
