Kizz Daniel Sued by G-worldwide(Fine N500M)

The music superstar, Kizz Daniel, is recently facing allegations from his formal record label, G-worldwide. It was covered that, the sued case is over Kizz Daniels alleged breach of the contracts signed with the G-world Entertainment record label while starting up.

Record label, G-world wide entertainment and Kizz Daniel have been in a legal battle for years ever since the Artiste breached the terms of their contract.

The Artiste had to change his music name from “Kiss Daniel” to “Kizz Daniel”. This is because, G-World wide entertainment had trademarked the name, “Kiss Daniel“.

Notwithstanding, Kizz Daniel had already started his record label, Fly Boy Entertainment and was able to release music again. It was under this new record label he released the album, “No Bad Songz”.

Eventually, G-worldwide entertainment is back in court and has slammed the Kizz Daniel with another lawsuit totaling Five hundred million naira (N500M).

This is split as follows;

• General damages for two hundred Million Naira (N200,000,000).
• Special damages for breach of contract in the sum of one hundred and seventy-nine million, four hundred and ninety-nine thousand, nine hundred and fifty-seven naira (N179,499, 957). And
• One hundred and fifty million naira (N150,000,000) for contract exit fees, amongst other reliefs.

The label in pursuit of this course has engaged the law firm of Olisa Agbakoba Legal, led by Senior council, Dr OLISA Agbakoba, SAN. To prosecutes it’s claims against the Artiste.

The matter has since been adjourned till 20th January, 2020 to hear the Label’s application.

This has got many reacting in sympathy to Kizz Daniel on social media. And as well the trend for the day. Many see this to be totally unfair. While some others have listed some great deal of lessons to be learn from this for up-coming artiste.

Well, the artiste career is in great challenge now.
